alcohol weed and chess

What is your opinion about playing chess (probably not bullet :D) when you are high or drunk? I think that is a funny experience only when your opponent is so drunk or high as you are.

Actually playing bullet drunk is quite entertaining.

@DVRazor You guys in Russia have a weird brain resistance to alcohol.

I've thought about this recently. Wondering what my record would be if I didn't play 90%+ of my games both high and tired.

I prefer to be stoned than sober playing chess, even if I do blunder a few times more. If I'm on a lose streak, then being sober is terrible---the mood killer (rage). Much easier to be stoned, listening to music, and zoned out. haha that sounds terrible. I'm getting old.

The housemaid of my cousin of my friend once OD'ed on them marijuanas ... she kidnapped a school bus and drove it right off a cliff. Since that day, I know the dreadful truth about school buses.

Alcohol makes a worse player in any case.

Cannabis has some potential to improve clarity of the board, but there is an additional blindness that balances it out.

The best chess is played sober.

In the good ol' days, chess masters used to smoke (fags) whilst playing... I bet Tal was smoking when he was declared the World Champion! :-D

once I was playing horde, and the other person was playing unorthodoxly. I asked him about it and he said he was stoned.

From 7: to 12:00, both Simon Williams and his opponent GM are smoking. At end of game, Simon is funny and remarks on the queen blunder. What is this guy smoking!? LOL

Also, I don't know how you could play drunk. I've never tried. Don't like to drink.
