@MrPushwood there was a rumor that short played fischer cause he lost 6 games vs bongcloud style. His thinking was that it could only be him since kasparov was weaker in blitzz. But he himself said he was duped, and fisccher who never was timid, said it wasn't him. Loek van wely also said it wasn't fischer.

@MrPushwood there is also an interview were karpov suspected that fischer stopped playing, because he was such a perfectionist. And that he could not stand delivering anything less.
