Yes, they are and pychess is a great site (variants of xiangqi, shogi and makruk are also implemented there).
But still, I would be happy to have the large audience of Lichess for these classical and ancient chess variants. The games would deserve it. We international chess players tend to ignore and underestimate Chinese, Japanese and Thai chess.
