Trash Lichess Servers

I am now completely sure that lichess servers are trash. Okay, I completely love lichess is free and open-source and they provide everything for the players. But, the servers are trash. Every single day, whenever I play it always shows reconnecting and I lose lots of rating points, like literally everyday. You can check my games. I always have a very good internet connection and I could open youtube, gmail, chess.com etc. but not lichess. I demand my ratings to be given back or else I should have a provisional rating.
"I lost a game due to lag/disconnection. Can I get my rating points back?

Unfortunately, we cannot give back rating points for games lost due to lag or disconnection, regardless of whether the problem was at your end or our end. The latter is very "rare" though. Also note that when Lichess restarts and you lose on time because of that, we abort the game to prevent an unfair loss."

This "rare" part is completely wrong because it is frequent.

I have full bars which means I am near to the cell tower and have a very good connection and this thing only happens in lichess and never in chess.com. And, one day there was a tournament when all the games in that tournament ended up being crashed and in all the games players who had their move lost a lot of time. These things completely tell that the lichess servers are trash.

It is completely unfair to not give rating back. Look at my last game, I was having mate in one and my opponent just literally showed off saying he beat me. But, atleast give the rating back to the player who lost and not decrease the rating of the player who won. Also, you could make the rating provisional for being fair.
> I have full bars which means I am near to the cell tower
Not necessarily.

> and have a very good connection
No. It does not even mean you have a good connection (in networking sense) to that BTS, much less anywhere else. There are many other possible reasons for connection issues than just low signal level. You can even have connection quality issues when there is no wireless connection anywhere in the whole path between you and the server.

> this thing only happens in lichess and never in chess.com
It is in fact quite common that you have connection issues to one target network but not to a different one. In this case, part of the problem is AFAIK that chess.com has geographically distributed servers, unlike lichess.org. But even that does would not mean that "lichess servers are trash".
You said "not necessarily" but I can maybe send you the photo of the cell tower and my house. It is just right next to my house in a small compound.

That does mean lichess servers are trash.
Also there are situations when my opponent goes 0.0000 in time and then it shows 2 seconds when I had a completely good connection and it didn't even show reconnecting.

My "not necessarily" was not meant to say you are not close to it (how could I know) but that "full bars" indicator does not necessarily mean that you are. That implication does not necessarily work in either direction.

No, it does not.

Latencies are mostly unrelated to signal strength. Those indicators only reflect one possible source of problems. Unfortunately most people only care about throughput of their Internet connectivity (and often nominal throughput rather than actual one) and ignore other parameters like packet loss, latency or jitter which can be even more important when using interactive networking applications.
@magodellascacchiera

The internet is like roads you can go to work and there be no traffic but you can go to your friends house and there be a road block or closure. Meaning everything else may be fine but the road to lichess is not and this road is not controlled by lichess or you but by third partys which lichess has no control over.

So lichess servers are not trash your connection is to find out where in the connection the problem is download winmtr put in lichess and then find the bad ip and then try and avoid it by using different dns or manually routing

Also for why lichess does not give back points is a giving you points back while your opponent keeps them
A) inflates the economy.
B)If we take their points it greats confusion
C) can be easily exploited because rage quitting and disconnecting does the same thing on the server side as it closes the connection
D) Even if lichess could tell it would require alot more work from the volunteer mod team
