I like to play tournaments, and part of that is playing players of differing abilities that you might not normally play. However, I find myself being paired with much higher rated players on a very frequent basis, and often several in a row. By higher rated I mean 1850 - 2300 when I'm only 1580ish. This gets very frustrating, and frankly demoralising when you have 4 or 5 games in a row where I am just not competitive against my opponent. The pairings should be closer to ones own rating, and only occasionally against much higher or lower rated players; instead the Lichess system seems to do this the other way around.
