Swiss tournaments are on Lichess

I told you that there are problems when you set too many rounds with too few participants. But no one wants to listen to me! This may work, but it leads to problems! For example, the same player gets a bye several times!
@tpr @thibault

I suggest an additional tournament setup option concerning late joiners: A selectable accepted time delay from 0 (never accepted) to x minutes to indefinite (always accepted).
@tpr #380 Regarding #376, of course it is possible to give the bye to the next-lowest person still joined, e.g. no.8.
Then the pairing can remain the same, so 2 vs 4; 3 vs 6, 5 vs 9, but instead 1 plays 7. But because - I guess - currently the bye will be assigned to the lowest player in the standings, no. 7 got it again. There was no issue in the other rounds.
#383 Those were probably 2 late joiners, who got awarded a bye of 1/2 and then decided among them to play anyway?
#385 No, it is a bug. You can see the orange 1/2 signs, the game was played for the tournament instead of the white late-join-sign. We encountered the same issue in #356.
#386 You are right: these are orange and get Sonneborn-Berger while the 3 late joiners are black and get no Sonneborn Berger.
This is strange. It could also result from pairings for the next round generated before the last game was finished. In that case per FIDE handbook the unfinished game is treated as a draw 1/2-1/2 for pairing purposes.

On another subject: this same tournament is scheduled for 8 rounds. That will almost certainly lead to color imbalances near the end: 5 black and 3 white or even worse. Generally the number of rounds of a swiss tournament should be odd to prevent that.
Hello: Sorry if most of mi message is in Spanish (I'll try to translate it later on).

It is related to te way you can find a Swiss tournament of your team, joining it and, only presumably, play in it *using only the app of lichess*

A couple of members of my team hace tried it succesfully (find it and join it), using the swiss tournament we have scheduled for next friday.

My team is lichess.org/team/torneo-suizo-de-la-academia-de-ajedrez-chamberi but you can try with your own team.

The procedure is (sorry, in Spanish; "Darle" is Click):

1. Arrancar la app de Lichess.
2. Darle a las 3 rayitas horizontales (arriba a la izquierda en mi movil).
3. Darle a usuario.
4. Darle a perfil.

Manuel.
