shadowban

Hello!
My friend and top-50 player in rapid rustev (@rustev) is shadowbanned. He can't start topics, he is invisible, support do not answer to him.

Why is it so? Why lichess show so much disrespect to such a good player?
Breaking the ToS gets you penalized, regardless of how good of a player you are. If he believes he was wrongly muted, he can appeal at contact@lichess.org. Might take some time to receive a response, but reasonable appeals should get one eventually.
He appealed about a week ago. No answer.
I wrote them too. No answer.
They do not even write, that they recived mail
I got shadowbanned a few weeks ago and wrote to the contact email, and got re-instated within about a day.

It was annoying to get banned without any notification or reason given.
I also have a friend who's been shadowbanned. He's been waiting for a reply from support for about 3 months.
Still no answer from support on e-mail or here
My guess - and it's just a guess - is that when someone is caught cheating, and they complain and are ignored, and they get someone else to complain on their behalf, that's also ignored. It seems that shadowbanning is extended to questions and complaints about shadowbanning. It's almost poetic.

My suggestion is that people don't cheat.
shadowbanning is the practice of disabling chat functions for a player and should not be mistaken for being marked as an engine.
