Queen vs Bishop (or Knight) ending rule makes no sense

There is no way of mating yourself in a Queen vs Bishop (or Knight) ending, if your time runs out and there is only one queen against one bishop or knight it has to be a draw, if not, it makes no sense. Same thing applies to Bishop against Bishop if they are the same color. Stupid rule.
What is stupid? That‘s the way it is done as far as I know.

By the way, you forgot R vs B. In case of R times out he will get the coveted draw.
Yes, the FIDE Laws of Chess have been implemented correctly here.
If you're left with only bishops on the same color, the game draws by insufficient material at once, you don't have to wait for the timer to run out.
Look, if your time runs out, you lose. BUT if you have a queen and the other person only has a bishop then if you run out of time it's a draw because the other person cannot checkmate you and thus there's no way they could win.

#7, you probably cannot force a win in many positions like RB-R or the starting position.

Forget about this "forced" issue, it has nothing to do with the rules. If a checkmate is possible it counts.

Yeah, but the rules are if checkmate is possible, not if forced checkmate is possible. Call it a stupid rule if you want, but I think it's at least half fair.
