Press 'n' for kNight promotion

Basically you want auto-Queen promotion, because 99% of the time you want to promote to a Q :)

In the exceptional case you want to promote to a Knight, currently you have to turn off auto-Q promotion, and select the N from the drop down list (good luck doing that with 10 seconds on your clock :).

Maybe an idea to allow pressing 'n' in auto Q mode - whilst moving the pawn to the 8th rank - to override auto-Q promo and promote to a N instead.

Hold down ctrl while moving to get the promotion prompt even with auto-queen on. On chess.com, hold alt. If you don't remember which site uses which, hold both (works here, not sure about chess.com).

Admittedly your solution would be faster.
