Pink/purple visual glitches mid game • page 1/2 • Lichess Feedback • lichess.org

Has anyone else experienced this? I just tried playing 2 blitz games but sometimes squares were colored bright pink. Is this some sort of new anti cheating measure?

I play in browser using Firefox. I have been playing puzzles and noticed weird pink boxes appearing when I go to move pieces. The pink boxes don't correlate to any correct/incorrect moves in puzzles. They do fall within the legal moves for the piece, but there seems to be no logical reason for where they appear.

Nope. Didn't notice it a couple days ago. This afternoon is when I started seeing the glitches.

Here is a screenshot from Firefox while playing a puzzle. The location of the pink square doesn't seem to correlate with any logical move or plausible blunder.

It seems to be an intermittent issue. I managed to recreate it while in a puzzle, just like @Crimsus. I'm on desktop firefox on a linux system + nvidia graphics. I'll try narrowing down the issue over the coming days.

I have noticed that sometimes the pink box changes size. Sometimes it is small like in the image I posted, sometimes it is about the size of a square. In either circumstance, the pink box is not quite centered on the square and seems offset a couple pixels. I did have one instance where the pink box was the size of a square, but it appeared between the board and the chess piece. Not sure if this indicates where the glitch is occurring, but if the board is drawn, then the pink box, then the chess piece, it could be a clue. Just spitballing on that theory though.
