I'm rated 2009 for a couple of days now and my highest rating is still shown as 2005 from months ago

I'm now at 2014 and still not updated
your rating deviation is too high, u have to be more active for highest rating to be shown.
I doubt that this is the reason. Highest and lowest rating usually show up once the question mark is gone (i.e. deviation <110)
But yeah I noticed this for myself too.
@vio7 it should update once the deviation is under 110/ the question mark is gone
Your current rating can be higher than your highest correspondence rating and your highest correspondence rating may be a rating that you have never really reached. Read on to find out how.
Suppose you start a game of correspondence when you are rated 2000 and then start playing other correspondence games and your rating reaches 1900 and then you win the game you started when you were 2000. Suppose, you gain 10 points by winning that game. Now, your highest correspondence rating will be 2010 even though 2000 is the highest rating that you have ever seen next to your name while your current rating will now become 1910.
Now, for the case relevant to the original poster. Suppose, you start a game when you are rated 1900 and then you keep winning and reach 2000. Now you win the game mentioned at the start of this paragraph and gain 10 points and your rating becomes 2010. However, your highest rating will still be shown as 2000 because the 10 points you have gained were from the point when you were rated 1900.
I hope I have made myself clear. Thank you for reading.
@finlip i don't think that's how it works. But let's assume it does work that way. According to your statement it should update once I have finished my remaining 4 correspondance game right? Assuming I win most of them and my rating stays higher than 2005 of course
Believe me, that's exactly how it works if things haven't been changed in the last few months. I've played my share of correspondence games and been through exactly what you are going through.
Your remaining correspondence games may not have the potential to give you your highest correspondence games. They were started when you had ratings of 1989, 1996, 2000, and 2000. So you need 17, 10, 6, and 6 points respectively from any of those games to get your highest correspondence rating which may still be less than your exact rating at that point which may also exceed 2014. If you start a game now with a rating of 2014, you may get your highest rating even after losing it if you lose only 8 rating points from that game.
@FInLIp so you are saying if I start one new game rn my highest score will be updated? What is my current correspondence rating according to you?
