If seeing spectators bothers you, you can hide this info from the page with userstyles.
Note, that will not prevent them from watching your game.
Press the letter Z when playing a game. The Zen mode will remove a lot of distractions.
Press Fn+ Function key 11. This will also go full screen. Pull on the lower right corner of your chessboard and it will stretch out .
Enable zen mode.
Unfortunately, you can't disable spectators
Something tells me you'll have a few more spectators after starting a thread like this one.
