who are your favorite chess players? please share your opinions about them :D
mine is Bobby Fischer
I know he was clearly not the most likeable person on the planet
but he was really great as a chess player and inspired many, Chess would have been different without him

for his behaviors, I believe he was born in a very unpleasant environment where communism and racisms were prominent
and the community and media poisoned his mind
it was ironic that it led him to believe the propagandas of those time were responsible of poisoning people's beliefs, when it was him who was exposed to those conspiracies
this led him to become mentally unstable

I wish he came to the world in the time he could simply enjoy chess without having to be put under stress of politics and conspiracies.
imagine what plays could he have brought to the world of chess. had he been raised with love

I made my own character with both of their names "Fishy Vishy"

Probably Capablanca.
But I enjoy games of many players.
Karpov, Korobov, Kasparov, Rubinstein, Carlsen and unironicaly Ben Finegold and I'm likely forgeting two or three.

My favourite player is FM Prasanna kurukulasuriya. He is my coach

I really like Paul Morphy’s play. It’s very explosive. The man loved a good king hunt. He threw away pieces, exchanges, everything - all to get at the enemy king! Another interesting factor of Morphy’s play - he really excelled at tying his opponents down with pins and tactics, while at the same time bringing out his forces closer to the enemy king. There’s something really satisfying about his play.
