Why it is not a draw?

Why insufficient material is not been draw

This is a game of me where the ending was a draw but I lost on time I think it should be draw even i lost on time in this Knight vs g pawn ending If my pawn would be h then it could be won by white and I could get checkmated but my pawn was g not h there is no checkmate even I declared as lost why can anyone tell me.
If I have a Queen and King vs KiNG and I lost on time then it would be a draw then why not this
And black can mate white if the pawn is promoted
Because there is enough material on the board to checkmate you, e.g. lichess.org/analysis/6bk/8/6NK/8/8/8/8/8_b_-_-_3_55?color=white

The rule is: When you time out, you lose. The only exception to this rule is when checkmate is never possible (with any legal series of moves). Then, since your opponent can never checkmate you, they cannot get the whole point, even though they "won" on time. And the game is declared a draw.

In your case, a checkmate was possible, so this exception doesn't apply, meaning you lost on time.

These are situations that would end up in a draw when someone times out:

- both sides have a bare king (K vs. K) = draw
- the side that didn't time out has a bare king (K vs. anything, but the side with more material timed out) = draw
- one side has a king and a minor piece against a bare king (K+B or K+N vs. K) = draw
- both sides have a king and a bishop, the bishops being the same color (K+B vs. K+B, both bishops are either light-squared or dark-squared) = draw
additionally:
- K+N vs. K+Q where side with the queen times out = draw
- K+B vs. K+R or K+Q where side with the queen/rook times out = draw

Otherwise it's going to be a loss, like here.

There are positions with fortresses that would be declared draws in OTB, e.g. lichess.org/forum/lichess-feedback/game-awarded-draw-instead-of-victory-when-player-timed-out#9 but currently there is no easy way to detect them, so in these cases you would have to go for a threefold repetition or a 50-move rule draw or premove.
but I tried hard to checkmate black but there is no checkmate
Please give me a position in which white can checkmate black when white has a knight and black has a g pawn
but black can promote the pawn g and and so the knight can checkmate : the pawn aka bishop can block the knight
