Yes, I know he is lower rated (2642) and not even on the top 100. But he has beaten Carlsen twise this year. I bet he would have plaied far better than Firouzja is. How come Radjabov is the wild card?
In the 2020-2021 candidates, he didn't play and was replaced by MVL because of his pandemic concerns. This is the reason why he is the wild card.
He was qualified somehow for the last cycle and unable to play and therefore got the wild card.
Of course there are better players than Radjabov like MVL for example but Pragg? I don't know...
Radjabov played recently 15 games and didn't win a single one.
