Why is the Two Knights Controvrsial?

Big controversy... Just the one who is better tactically wins. The Traxler is not any better than any other opening and apparently in Lichess database it's white who is standing better.

C'mon guys, just play d4 against the Two Knights defense and White has already a 52% win rate. It can even transpose into the Nakhmanson gambit, much wilder than the Traxler or the Dark Knight gambit. And the landmine of traps after d4 is extremely big.

Try to do what? My only goal was to give some indication of the extent to which an 8...cxb5 controversy is discussed in the Pinski book.
