Who do you think can win with the current world chess champion?

1. Caruana 2. Ding Liren 3. Wesley So 4. Teimour Radjabov 5. Alireza Firouzja There is always a chance one of them beats him in classical portion.
I think Alireza Firouzja will beat Carlsen in a few years. He is 17 years old and already rated 2728.
I THINK MAGNUS CARLSUN WILL NOT LOSE , HE IS THE TIGER OF THE CHAMPIONSHIP TILL NOW
Magnus was rated in the 2700s when he was 17 as well. He broke 2700 when he was 16, then 2800 when he was 18, and this was when the rating pool wasn't quite as rich and he needed to grind it out a bit more (though I think the most impressive rating of all time in this respect was Fischer's 2785 in 1972). I'm not saying Alireza doesn't have a chance. He's a prodigy as well, but I don't think the fact that his rating in relation to his age is really a factor since they're about even so far in that respect.
@PuzzleBro

Firouzja is the second-youngest player in history to achieve a 2700 rating, at the age of 16 years and 1 month.
He is the second-youngest player ever to reach a rating of 2700 after Wei Yi
Magnus Carslen is the third youngest player to reach 2700

Magnus became the highest rated player in the world at 19 (RECORD), Alireza got 2 years to beat that record

@AsadsWorld As I said, it's splitting hairs at that point, and they're about on even pace. If Alireza can do it, good for him. I wasn't doubting him. I just don't think the age thing carries that much weight, especially when you consider how many more strong players there are these days to gain rating from. Alireza's rating right now in the pool ten years ago, may have even been 50-100 points fewer, just by rating density.

@Flyingjat Yeah. With chess, it tends to be the cognitive faculties much more than the physical ones that cause it. It's often a loss of consistency rather than potential potency, as we're seeing in the Legends tournament. Ivanchuk took Magnus all the way to Armageddon, but he's slipped a bit in consistency (and rating) over the years while retaining the capacity to defeat anyone on a good day. Whether it is Alireza or someone else, there will always be a next champion.
