where is the refund

for the ********************** time i was beaten by a cheater who got caught right after....

For the second time I didnt get a rating refund. Not that I care so much for my rating, but I am curious as to why sometimes there is no refund.

As far as I understand it; you wont see a difference when the player is still on ?rating (like when you start its 1500?)
If they get banned before actually receiving a rating; no refund happens ViSIBLY but as far as I understand; you still get it.

Someone may be able to confirm or deny this.

I believe if you and/or your opponent is still provisional when the cheating occurred then no refund will be given.

Is there such a thing as refund of rating points?

So to conclude:

-there are VERY few cheaters

-MOST get caught

-the rating points are returned unless they are caught immediately, as they were in this case.

For some reasons lichess doesn't add the refund to the rating. It just send you the message about the refund..
