I normally resign as soon as I notice I'm in a losing position, very rare that I play a game out.
In Club Matches people are watching games, it would be silly to play a game out, when I can see I've lost it

I ask myself, "Should Magnus Carlsen take my position against this opponent, could he come back from this?" If the answer is yes, I continue playing. If the answer is no, I resign.
@Derrick1Rose Sometimes I resign down a piece, other times I play it out until there's a forced loss.
Once I was in a king and queen endgame , I lost all hopes but he stalemated me . And I got +9 rating
I resign when I have no winning chances at all. If I have a passed pawn against actual pieces I'll usually continue playing until the opponent captures it, and resign when they do. If there's any chance of a tactic, continue; if you're just waiting to run out of moves, resign.
Whenever my opponent asks politely.
You should never resign if there's the slightest chance of stalemate.

I understand I should resign whenever I don't have anything better to do and to avoid wasting everyone's time.
