Whats a good chess book

@JushBJJ2 #1
If you want to boost your rating a lot (Say from 1100 to 1600) you probably need more than one chess book (There's exceptions. Young Jose Raoul Capablanca only watched his dad play chess with his friends. No books needed to beat his dad at chess soon.).
Good ideas are :
- join a local chess club to play otb chess
- make new chess friends in town, play and analyse chess with them
- study chess daily on-line
- play correspondence chess to mainly improve openings and endgames.
- watch beginner videos
lichess.org/video?tags=beginner
- go through the Lichess practice section
lichess.org/practice
lichess.org/learn#/

You will also need things like :
- patience
- perseverance
- discipline (Studying daily, not once a month for twenty minutes)

I'm not sure whether or not the 'greatest players' - e.g. Bobby F or Gary K - write the best books. However, JR Capablanca's Chess Fundamentals is very useful if you take the time. I think you can get algebraic as well as the original descriptive notation. His stuff on endings is useful, as are his take on concepts like 'the opposition'.

I'm told that the greatest end-game book is by Averbakh.
Any book on endgames particularly rook endings is good.
The first response (#2) is the most correct, no book is going to make you a better player just by reading the book. Now, I love reading chess books in the hope they might make me better, along with study, game play, and practice (tactics practice); and repeat over and over again.

It's a lifetime process. I've read the Bobby Fisher book and it's great, a good place to start.
@achja

-I joined a chess club (It's in my local library and also another chess club in my school, they have some chess books but not the ones I kinda needed)
-Okay, I will study good openings, strategies and tactics every day
-I have friends that play chess
-I have already completed the practice section in lichess
anyone have a link for Capablanca book with standard new notations ? it would be great.
Also please which Bobby fisher book you refer to ??
