What Is Your Favorite Opening???

You would never know it by the openings I play here on Lichess but I'm here to largely to experiment with new openings I don't usually play elsewhere...On the other site I play chess at I use the Modern defence (g6 - B-g7, d6) almost exclusively against everything and do quite well with it. But I did take some beatings while learning how to play it at the beginning...It's a counter-attacking defence that requires little theory and breaks almost all the usual rules about opening play.

And for White the Classic Queen's gambit one of my all time favorites

I love Caro-Kann too, I don’t think I am quite as good as Queens gambit! 😂

I really want to like the London because it's a solid opening and answers pretty much anything, but I just find it too passive to be enjoyable. I have been playing the Sicilian in most of games though and enjoying it so far.
