What is the single advice that led to a high boost in your playing strength?

"Learn rook endgames they come up a lot"

"look around for a bit"

"make a little time for (physical) exercise"

"Why did you trade your two best pieces to win an a pawn?" ( it was a middle game position)
@comfortable "look around for a bit" is really good advice for a particular kind of chess player (i.e. the one who 100% relies on intuition and blitzes out every move until he actually blunders)
"If you see a good move, wait, do not play it, you might fiind a better one." - Emanuel Lasker
I am quite a new player. My advice (to me and to other beginner players) would be not to play impulsively. I usually go with 15+15 games and I can say that in most of the games I win, it' s due to the effective usage of time. In mid-game, if you still have 15 mins on your clock, that means you spent 15 secs on average for your every move. This suggests that you play impulsively. It really helps to think for the second and third time even when you feel comfortable with your next move.
@ercany true, players below 1700 in 15+15 would often play impulsively (sometimes ending up w/ 18 minutes) and only use their time right after losing a piece, it's pretty funny. although it becomes rare once you hit 1900
