My objective is doing something very clever, perhaps artistic even.
chess is really good for wasting time in a (more or less) enjoyable way. It's the best when your opponent is a nice person to waste time with...
Strategy, plans and all that stuff.... is an other reason to enjoy waste even more time... in books ! (they are good company too ! and they can teach you what you should aim for and when... many things i cannot answer myself)
