Every position in chess 960 can be classified into two parts:
a) Stable config. where each PAWN is defended atleast once (like the standard chess position).
b) Unstable config. where there is atleast one undefended pawn.
My job is calculate the number of position in stable config. See this chess960.net/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/chess960-starting-positions.pdf for all the position.
Since 960 position is too much for an individual, I would like to distribute the work.
For example I would handle position 0-19. Each volunteer would first make a claim, then sort out the stable part and then add that position to this study lichess.org/study/JUGlOM5l (Write the name of the position as the name of the chapter).
