In 2009 Nakamura won (3½:½) a match vs. Aronyan, so he is unofficial fisher random champion for now. He will play with Carlsen.

From 9 - 13 February a Fischer Random Match between Magnus Carlsen and Hikaru Nakamura will be held in Høvikodden, just outside Oslo.

I was looking forward to this event and I still am, I hope that Drunkenstein will wipe Nakamura off the board and take away even the last shred of Naka s pride.

Players are present for a random drawing made by a computer of the starting position.
15 minutes before game 1 .... 2 minutes for rest of games 3,5,7,9,...-15 and possible Armageddon game.
Same position for following game, with players reversing colors.
Would be interesting to know just how much prep time the players have invested into researching opening positions.
