Sicillian

If you play 1. e4...you had better study the Sicilian. If you want to study it well, play it as black. :]

@lifesource
"clousems, be careful while you say to chess like -I will send you to doom of hell-"
I object. That's taken out of context and incomplete. While I forget what the precise wording of the original quote,
it was something to the effect of "I will doom you to the hell of people who only play the London and Colle systems."
I recently watched the film "Big Trouble in Little China," in which there is a running gag where people mention"the hell of...", which I found inspirational. I'll admit, it wasn't my most amusing chastisement, but i don't think it's grounds for a tiff.

You have to call a spade a spade. And you shouldn´´`´ t call Sam Spade Hercule Poirot, if you know what I mean...

It was only playing with words. First I used your word "call" for "call a spade a spade". Isn´ t that a well known idiom in America?
Then I used "Spade" to mention the private eye Sam Spade in the crime stories of Dashiell Hammett and to compare him with Hercule Poirot, his Belgian collegue in the crime stories of Agatha Christie. At last I gave a hint with "literature" and used again a well known phrase of Bill Clinton and his team. It wasn´ t meant to name anyone to be stupid, you see. Maybe a little bit weird...Have a nice day, greetings from Germany...
