Rated vs Casual game: takeback requests

I am starting this topic because I am interested in how others here feel about takebacks. I will share how I feel and see if people agree or disagree. Here goes:
Casual: The way I look at a casual game is that it is just practice (like a scrimmage in American Football or like an exhibition/pre season game in American football) in other words it does not count. So I am fine with takeback requests during a casual game.

Rated games: Here is where I feel takeback requests should not even be allowed. Or to say it in another way "it should NOT be available to even ask for a takeback during a rated game. Those are my thoughts on takeback requests.

Interesting fact (as of the last time I checked) On Chess.com there is no such thing as a takeback request. But then every game on Chess.com against a human opponent is rated. You can only practice (casual) if you play against a robot. They have easy robots with low ratings to the (highest rated bot) Beth Harmon 2700 rated bot.

It is my hope that this will be an interesting topic. I anticipate diverse opinions. I find that when I play a rated game it is much more difficult to win as opposed to playing a casual game. Perhaps it is because I am more relaxed in a casual game. I am still learning about myself as a Chess player. I have a long way to go in my development as a Chess player.
Do keep in mind that you have the option to allow takebacks "only in casual games" in your settings! I would highly encourage you to do so if you haven't already, as it seems to align with your attitude.

I agree that takebacks in rated games are kind of weird. I have it disabled for rated because I don't want to feel bad for rejecting, and I would never request them for myself anyway. Most people probably wouldn't accept them anyway unless they are really indifferent about their rating. In casual it's an entirely different thing. I even give takebacks for blunders if I enjoy the position and would like to see it play out in a proper way. :)
@Bonnie8989 I always give takebacks to friends whom I know personally especially if they are lower rated. Depending on the type of move, I may or may not accept takebacks in rated games against opponents in the server (obvious mouse slips vs blunders due to time pressure or tactic)
All the best
CaroKatze thank you for that info. I just now set that up. For anyone that wants to know it is under "Preferences".
I think the takebacks are not a problem, maybe we made the wrong move, in fact, in rated games, if the opponent uses the setback soon, I accept it.
kertandidi: Thank you for your response. You are blessed to have personal friends who play Chess.
