A long time ago(6-8 months ago) I found a mate in 1 and the computer said "that's a good move but there is a better one", how come? It may be because there was a way to block the mate, because that was when I just started playing chess.
Is there some kind of formula in the programm which makes the puzzles more difficult with achieving more points? I had the impression with 1100 they seemed easier to me. the higher I went up, to 1660, I did a thing logic to me but wrong move(section hardest). I am not critical, not complaining. Only want to know. When I loose I deserve it , no question about it. And I am learning by loosing. And still enjoy the game.
@thibault There are a fair number of puzzles (I'd guess 5-10%) where the analysis does not match the puzzle. Basically, the analysis engine disagrees with the "best move" indicated by the puzzle. That's not just some whiny patzer, that's the tools indicating some shortcoming. Unicorns provided:

@sawchain I just checked the puzzle you referred to. The analysis here matches the puzzle (and incidentally, with the solution I found.)
Nxf3 gxf3
b7
and White will promote the b-pawn.

Here's a doozy. Play the puzzle, then repeat the moves in the analysis. Immediately after the puzzle completes, the engine promptly wins its material back. (You take a bishop during the puzzle, and right after the puzzle completes it checks you and takes your knight.)

It gets mated in one if it takes the knight
@Morlockk Analysis doesn't match the puzzle. The engine makes different moves than occur in the puzzle.
@sawchain Which move in the puzzle is wrong? Or where exactly is there another solution?
@sawchain that is because the right move in the puzzle is based off what the person did in the real game. (at least i think so)
