Profile reset

Why is there no option to keep your profile name and delete your past games and scores ?
Everything is completely integrated. When you click on the name of anyone that you've played, their history will have their game against you.

Changing names, games, profiles, creates negative ripple effects.

Just make a similar name, transfer all of your studies to the new account, and then delete your current account.

I should be able to keep my profile and just reset everything.
Your games also belong to your opponents.

More so, chess games are *facts*. Facts cannot be rewritten or erased.

So consider that each move you make is engraved in stone, adding to the glorious history of human chess, forever.

If that's not ok with you, don't play.
I should be able to go down to the DMV and ask them to erase tickets and other driving history I don't like.

Just because I should be able to do that (rather, I would like to do that), doesn't mean it's possible or that it's going to happen.

I should be able to push people around and bully them into doing what I want them to do, when I want them to do it. I'd love to bully you into using logic and common sense, but even though I should be able to do this, it's not going to happen.

@thibault There are many closed accounts. Can all their games still be searched here?
Don't worry, noone will ever bother to look up the first 42 games you played with your account.
