Polite request

Don't choose to play a 30+10 game and then ask your opponent to play quicker during the game. Choose a shorter time control.

(And this wasn't someone new to the site, so they know how to choose a game type and time control)
I agree so much.
People who whine about their opponents actually using the time they agreed to them having is insane.
A message to those people: your complained is the equivalence to if I go and play a game of dodgeball with someone, and when I get hit by a ball, I complain about it. It is an insane complained, and is 100% your own fault.
The other day someone who was playing 180+180 games came here to complain about their slow opponents. They were blundering a ton and averaging 12 seconds per move.

Playing long games is a good idea. You can think for as long as you want, while your opponent is playing at blitz speed.

My advice is to ignore their complaints and enjoy the fact that you don't have to wait very long for them to move.
i odn't play much classical at all, but nonetheless whoever be saying to play quicker while your opponent be spending their time should get hit with a damn clock because that stuff be one of the dumbest things i heard
