Open with the better horizon

The opening is much more than just for the mobility of the pieces.
Every move should be to better the next phase of the game.
If the move does not better the next phase of the game, then there is probably a better move.

Living only in the present, does not better our future.
A good move may not be good in the long run.
Time will tell, which was better.

There has been enough time played on the opening moves to see which horizon is best for you.

So do you prefer closed games, semi-open or open games? (Please explain why?)
During the opening, when you dream up a plan for the middle game, what does that horizon look like?
