Note To Nakamura About Excuses

" I find it very hard to believe that the organizers are going to want to invite him to tournaments“ says Hikaru.

This continual driven attack was annoying me. However, having seen Hans' responses, I'd image it's probably quite the opposite now.

The guy seems to be becoming chess' anti hero. He's rock and roll. Tournament organisers will definitely want him involved as he's now huge publicity.
We live in a universe where causality exists, so of course people are affected by others and therefore have excuses.
Hikaru should to apologise for his on stream cheating against Anish Giri, his repeated promoting false agenda suggesting a teenager used anal devices to cheat against Magnus, his participating in spreading hatred against Niemann, his dispersions against an internationally acclaimed professor, his ignoring the Fide request to refrain from speculation until the investigation has been finalised, and his bringing the sport into disrepute on a daily basis.

Yes, but so are opinions ...
I think people who have cheated should not be allowed to voice their oppinion on this topic unless they state in the post that they are cheaters. Only people who reached at least 1800 otb or 2100 online without cheating understand the work that goes into getting so strong. Too many people want the benefits without the work and think it is ok to use Stockfish to people who dedicated their lives for years.

There also is the audience, but they are so large I doubt they are represented by the few voices here.

As for my oppinion, it depends how much he cheated and under what circumstances. Nothing wrong with using Stockfish against Magnus is his live stream against 1600 players just to see how well he does against it. Tournaments are different. I don't know the extent, so I'll wait for that to come out.
