Lichess v2 to v1 "solution"

So recently everyone's having mixed feelings about v2 because of the new "BIG" and clunky look. Well the simple solution is this (at least works in my case): zoom out to 70% and when the game starts adjust board size to the old size.

The more complex solution would be to load a custom css while the page is loading to emulate the old look and feel. But someone's got to put in the effort to actually get that going (: Would be nice to see it in menu as a visualisation "switch", but we'll see.
Until then ... the only solution is to zoom out to 70%, yes I know that the text is going to be smaller, but we're not here for the text, are we?

Glad to see I'm not the only one who's figured this out. It isn't that bad if you go to the trouble of adjusting the interface. I like a lot of the new quality of life changes but the way the website looked before was 10x better. This is the Reddit redesign all over again...

I zoomed out to 80% with board size of 60. Works well for me 😁

How do you resize it? I tried resizing with ctrl - and the only thing that changes is the menu bar. The chessboard remains so huge it doesn't even fit on my screen.

Click on your name, then Board Geometry, and then slide the slider. Note that you'll need a chess board on the screen for it to work.

To test it without being in a game, you can go to a study or tactics puzzle.
