King in the Middle

You could win the lottery but what good is it if your spending habits aren't up to speed?

You must spend time to secure a safe king. Don't get greedy.

You would lose if it was King of the Hill!

Sometimes when King isn't in the center you can still win.

He was fine with his king in the middle though. The only issue was when he didnt take your pawn on e6. He still would have been winning, up a knight and exchange.

But still a very interesting game!

This is actually a pretty "jumpy" game. You are down 1.9 after Bf4. 5.0 after Bd2, and later down about 10..

This isn't meant as anything except positive criticism, though.

Here's a nice game I'm happy with. It's about 30 cpl which isn't very good, but in general it's kind of nice.



At the end there's a nifty threat -- Ne6, forking the Rooks, and the Queen can't move off the diagonal because of Qg7#. But being a piece down and with this threat hanging, my opponent ran out of time.

If you replay the game at real time (a wonderful feature), you can get a feel for this game...

Accuracy, accuracy..! If I'm playing my best. I don't like to lose any percentage below 0 if playing as white. I'm not usually happy with the game if I do.

And ideally, if there's any place where I lose lore than .3 or .4, I consider it a rather awful game.. which I know is perhaps hard on myself but -- I have a very different view of these things than most.

But a lot comes down to how one is paying and that does include many factors. Basically inread all of Kasparov's major works (they're very good) and I recommend them a lot.
