Is chess rassist? Ist schach rassischtisch?

Although i can identify this as a joke I will answer it like as if it would not be one. White Privilege does not exist. It is furthermore mass privilege. The Group with the highest member count has the most benefits. Therefore in Chess there is not necessarily a benefit out of starting - cause the count of member of each group are equal. This is called Equality of Opportunitys (a good thing). This is often confused with Equality of Outcome (A not so good Thing).

No. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 protects both against discrimination based on color and race.

So, if the black pieces seek to be litigants in a claim alleging a violation of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; the black pieces should alleged discrimination based on "color" not on "race."

The better question is, if after the Supreme Court's Bostock decision, FIDE is SEXIST because there is a Grandmaster title and a Women's Grandmaster title. Why is there a separation? What possible advantage do men have over women in chess? None.
I've thought about that. Mayyyyyybe, just a lil bit, chess might be racist. Controversial. Don't quote me on that.
Black or white first?
The question doesn't arise.
The pieces, according to Reuben Fine, are mostly phallic symbols.

Es ist mir völlig gleichgültig, wohin das Wasser fließt,
solange es nicht in den Wein läuft.

I don't care where the water goes,
as long as it doesn't spill into the wine.
"The Group with the highest member count has the most benefits."

Colonial occupations of history tend to disagree with you...rather brutally. Power is much more complex than a head count.
Eh. Technology, Wealth, Influence, to name a few. Set race aside, and just examine the vassal / serf relationships in Europe for instance. There were far more "member counts," as you put it of peasants, who had much worse benefits than the Nobility.

If you want to reinject race back into it you can do so by looking at the British colonization of India, or the Plantation Slave trade in the Americas. "Head count" didn't matter, it's who had the guns, and the ships amongst other things.
The chess pieces are not a race but just pieces with a colour.
A piece of wood cant be racist by definition.
Colours are NOT racist it is people who are racist or can be not items.
