how To Create A Fide Rating

@UmikaJay this questin has been asked on the forums round about 1000 times so when something so obvisous question turns up please search the forum
But:
- join some local chess club that is member of national chess organisation
- attend chess tournaments. depending on your country they can sometimes, often, always or rarely fide rated but that should be detailed in the tournament invitation.
1. You need to become a member of your national chess federation. If your national chess federation is a member of FIDE (which will most likely be the case), you'll get a FIDE id and a dedicated page on the FIDE's website.

2. Play in one or more over the board FIDE rated tournaments. Once you have played enough games against other rated players, you'll get your first FIDE rating (which is updated monthly on their site)

You cannot obtain FIDE rating by playing online chess.
Can I get one with my rating not exactly topping the charts, can i get atleast 600? Cause it'll be something to just brag about to my non chess playing friends

You mean, can you get FIDE rating without playing FIDE rated games? The answer is no.

Also, FIDE does not keep ratings below 1000.
