How can I be more satisfied and successful with my chess games?

@achja
It was a game from a tournament.
Your thoughts sound very interesting and I will definitely keep them in mind and apply it to the next games. Intuition in particular is certainly a good tool.

The classic game you found went exactly as described: I had a good position, only saw my own attacking possibilities, and overlooked or underestimated those of the opponent. Which ultimately brought me a defeat.
Satisfied and successful? Play the opening you like and try not to let anyone beat you in it. For example, I like playing the Caro-Kann Defence and feel extremely satisfied when White keeps struggling to keep the advantage of the first move. In my opinion this is one of the ways to reach your goals of satisfaction and success. Another one could be the will to fight and being resourceful. Even when I mess up I keep trying to pose the greatest possible problems to my opponent even though it isn't what engine would recommend. Losing and then winning by being resourceful is in my opinion the biggest satisfaction in chess. #GEN_W#
