Good etiquette in using Resign?

Lately played some games here at Lichess, to check if this is different from chess.com. I have been surprised by how many players here just do not Resign, although game is clearly over. Yes - Blitz is error prone but still... Imho, sportsmanship use of Resign shows good chess understanding, and saves time for new or rematch. In chess.com this etiquette is followed a lot better. Makes playing much more enjoyable as you dont need to routine mate with Queen, or waste time first promoting one of your three more pawns than oppononent has. PS - I am not the greatest player, but definitely good enough to give this observation.

@burbank123 I just asked him a question. If you think THATS rude, then you will have a very difficult time in your life.
As I'm an average ELO player, it happens so often that opponents (and I) fail to convert a winning board into a checkmate. Like Mr. tpr stated, in blitz it is quite common that you can win despite any blunder as mistakes and blunders are part and parcel to the format. Continuing play is also good practice in recovering from a losing position - I don't believe chess would be very fun if everyone gave up like they do in League of Legends :)
