Get rid of the 1/2 symbol for a draw

This symbol is very confusing for me, and is horrible compared to the old one. It has already cost me rating points and games.

How did it cost you rating points?

The resign button has cost me rating points ;D Horrible. Needs to get removed.

To return to the initial topic, having just played a game with a draw offer by my opponent, hmm ... didn't have any problem with that. Of course, i don't remember the old button, how amazing was it?

@schachlaus the old button was horrible imo bcs the kind handshake symbol was used in a unkind way all the time (draw offers send in obvious lost positions) but it was visually less standing out than numbers which may be distracting to some. This behaviour of draw offers has reduced imo through the new button as it is a more logical one imo.

Ah right, i remember the hand now. Yes, a handshake could be a greeting or a congratulation for the win ... But once you knew what it meant, it wasn't so bad, either.

And now it is not possible to offer a draw again? I wondered if they would do something about it, some guys really like to offer a draw repeatedly.

I commented just to talk about my personal experience. it cost me rating points because the resign symbol was closer to the old hand one. So therefore, I was confused and ended up resigning some games. It was merely a suggestion.

I prefer the 1/2. Under the old symbol I have resigned games thinking I was offering a draw.
