From tying shoes to forking Kings

I learned how to play chess 2 years after I learned how to tie my shoes. How many years were it apart for you?

Me tieing my shoes till this day:

umm
so I make a circle and then I must the snake goes in the pond?
but why would a snake go into a pond?

@rmilin I thought you started playing chess at 10, tying shoes at 8 years old is dam late man, especially for a man with a "genius" iq of 110!
