favorite time controls.

I move slowly and rarely have an uninterrupted hour or more required to play classical. So I enjoy (1 day) correspondence. I like to make more than one move per day, so hopefully my opponent does as well. I make some moves when I have time, then I can take care of meetings, errands, chores, meals, whatever and get back to the game in a couple hours. Of course this requires a like-minded opponent which is definitely hit and miss. It seems like many correspondence players have lots of games going at once and hence only get back to my game when the clock forces them to.

The BIG downside for me is that I've come to rely on using the analysis board to play with scenarios before moving. Hence my ability to "see" the board in "real" chess has significantly diminished.
@tcferg I wish I had patience like that. But, I think you phrased the last part wrong, because if you use the analysis board before the game is done that's cheating.
begs the question what is your first fave time control VIVaaN?
i will bear that in mind if i want a game , (not bullet , but ok with blitz , rapid or classical)
@ViVaaN12345 - maybe I used the wrong term when I said "analysis board", but there's this feature in correspondence games that allows you to move the pieces around the board and essentially play out potential scenarios without having to visualize them in your head. It doesn't say anything about the strength of the position or whether moves are good or bad. And it's a mode you can select right from an icon below the board. It's probably a lousy habit to rely on, but I don't think it's cheating? Can someone confirm for certain whether or not this is permitted in correspondence games?
