Curiosity - Temporary Ban?

Has anyone actually been banned temporarily due to the new run off clock and abort warnings? And if so, how long?

The ban has always been there, it‘s just the notification which is new. People have been and will always be banned - regardless with or without a prior note.

The first ban is short; subsequent bans get progressively longer if you keep doing it. From what I've heard it's 10-15 minutes to 48 hours.

What happens after 48 hours Does the "temporary" ban go 10-15 minutes?

Whatever it is, it's clearly not working, given the frequency of this disorder.

I checked the code: there's no upper limit. Anyone who reoffends often enough to get the exponential growth going is probably a huge asshole, though.

There is only one way to prevent this kind of behavior: instead of issuing warnings, there should be an immediate time out for the player doing it. Say 5 min time out for bullet games, 15 time out for blitz games etc. That would persuade most people to either resign or not abort games.
