I was in a game with my coach (lichess.org/5S4R9AVET2Ou) and the game suddenly ended with a message saying, "cheat detected...". I remember just opening my email, nothing else, and I lost the game because of it. I just wanted to let people know that it could happen to you as well, and that you probably shouldn't open other things during a game
@BishopJH Don't ever get coaching on a rated game. Problem solved. Then you and your coach are free to chat about the game, open windows with tools etc etc
This is an easy appeal, especially if your coach steps in to explain.
Ive never seen this... how did it happen? So weird...
This shows you might have another game and you're trying to copy the same moves of stockfish or using computer moves,.
The cheat is detected only when the server finds same position which is being played under analysis board as well. Don't know how opening some link in email ended the game.
Why can't you just get in contact either physically or virtually and then use a study board
If your coach won, just think it was out of respect. And be 'cool'
If you won, then you may need to change your coach! And be 'cool'!
