Careful Playing Underrated Opponents!

Your name looks familiar DVO.. Trying to place it. Do you play in other places with the same name?
!LOL! Oh wow! Yes, I used to do (pseudo) lectures for some of the underrated LeChess members. I even had a job offer to teach in schools because I have a palatable teaching style.

You're a little better than I, so you're SOL and can't benefit from my analysis, but some of the underrated appreciated my take and perception on the game.

I still have their "Thanks" in my message inbox.

I don't remember any "Dr. Hack" though...

Anyway. Small world!
I started the mentor program there many years ago. ;) I think the mentors benefitted more than the recipients though.
It was most definitely true in my case. I found that teaching helped remind me, on a continuous basis, of all the really cool things that I love about chess.

Calculation only gets you so far. At some point, you have to know the fundamentals. When you learn them, it morphs the game from "advanced checkers" into "a godly pass-time".

Few things I like more than helping people transition from one side to the other.
