Running Your Chess Club Online

Der lichess
I really appriciate All the Hard work you are putting i to the site. Im a chess instruktor at our chess club and a proud chessdad (6xnational champion)
I read the blogpost and really wanted to try out the New class téa her feature, But you lost me when you asked me to upload a photo of My passport or drivinglicense to a Google analytics site!

I am shure that lichess have the highest server security standart, But please consider some alternative way to go do This - fx. secure payment via creditcard. There is No way im going to upload This kind of sesitive information.
Hi, the article states that we can "Host inter-team battles between your team and up to 9 other teams (the team leader can set this up from the team page)".

However, in my team page, I only see a "create team battle", which creates a normal intra-team tournament, but no option to create an inter-team challenge. How do we go about doing this?
Hello LiChess,

I am a teacher looking for safe ways to allow our school chess club, which is now virtual, to play tournaments.
I can use the private tournament setting to set up a tournament but how can I set it up so that the chat feature is disabled? This is important if juniors are playing.

Also, you mention that when creating a class, the members do not need to submit their email address, or have I missunderstood that part? If they don't submit their email addresses, how are they invited along to play in tournments etc?

As a virtual school I need two (playing) enviroments:
1. The chess playing kids in our school get to play each other (in private tournaments, which are all set up by the teacher or coach, with no chat feature). The teacher and players would like to be able to watch any game to see how the others are getting on. Is this possible?

2. The school chess team get to play against other teams (in private games, set up by the teacher or coach, with no chat feature) and without having to pass on emails of the children to anyone from outside my school. Ideally I send my junior team a link to a webpage (with a passcode to get onto the page) that has all the matches listed and they click on their board (the team captain could submit the players names before hand for each board so the player can just click on their name). Again, once matches have started, an option to view games in progress by all players and the two teachers/coaches would be useful. Is this possible?

Thank you for reading this post.
Best wishes,
Justin
Hello @JustinMoston , anyone can switch off the chat function themselves. The way I see it, there is no way for the creator of the tournament to disable this feature when creating a tournament. You should discuss this with your students and set rules if you don't want them to chat during a tournament. There is a pop-up menu when you click on your handle in the top right corner of the Lichess Website. The second point under Profile is Mailbox or Inbox. I use german language, so it is called "Postfach". Click it and you can send messages within Lichess. But then you have to write to each student individually.
I hope I could help a little bit!
How to add teams in team battles
1) Open team menu
2) Left top "Team battle"
3) Choose time control, date etc.
4) Choose teams (in next step)

1) Team öffnen
2) Oben links auf "Teamkampf"
3) Bedenkzeit, Datum & Uhrzeit einstellen
4) Teams aussuchen (im nächsten Schritt)
