Titled Arena 6!

@LukaszS i agree with u that LMS should be allowed to play because its a lichess titled arena and people would love to see new strong players i dont think all LMS should play but atleast top 10 as per their bullet ratings but i dont think lichess gonna do anything about it which is sad
If Magnus Carlsen wins this arena, will he donate the $500 for first place prize of the next arena?
LM is a fake title. Allowing LM titled players to join is like allowing everyone with high ratings to join. This is titled arena, not elite arena. I don't like LMs, especially the ones who require membership of their fan clubs to get a chance play in their simuls.
Why not hand out a few Wild Cards, even Wimbledon hands them out.
Norway Chess Tournament hosts a wild card qualifier. The winner gets to the main event. Also Tata Steel has a challengers tournament where the winner enters the masters tournament a year later.
Perhaps lichess should host a qualifier tournament where only one wild card entry to titled arena is given to the first place finisher.
Good one. Also marketing wise. Hope, Tournament Director reads this.
yes since LM means Lichess Master then every LM should be able to join every lichess tournament that will be ever created, in fact every single tournament created should have all LMs as participants by default, i mean, LM means Lichess Master after all
Magnus was not drunk, he had internet connection issues.

Andrew Tang is a kid and won that money, classy would be to mind your own business and leave the kid alone to enjoy his winnings.
classy would have been to donate back some of it. Everyone agrees.

I disagree. The $3000 was, in essence, a bounty on beating Magnus Carlsen. He donated it specifically to first place only in order to challenge people to beat him. Whoever manages to finish ahead of Magnus Carlsen deserves an award. It would be classy if lichess paid $3000 to everyone of the 6 players who finished ahead of Magnus Carlsen in last titled arena. He is the world champion and he is exceptionally strong under very fast time controls. Please don't underestimate how difficult it is to finish ahead of him in a bullet arena.
