Yes, I feel peaceful and calm. The numerous discussions of ratings and cheating bring me happiness and entertain me. Long ago, I realized I would never be a professional athlete or chess player, and that is o.k. Peace out...

Obviously I am kind of joking. Only kind of though. I’m sure a lot of NMs wish they were FMs. FMs wish they were IMs. The mountain is huge and the desire to reach the next milestone never ends.

Also, I think the better a player gets, the more they realize how little they know about chess relative to what there is to know. It’s as if, the higher you get on the ratings mountain, the more you become aware of just how tall that mountain really is.

In around 3 years, I jumped from a 1200 rating to a whooping low 1900. So yeah, I'm satisfied.

UNSATISFIED I WANT 2600!
