Antichess Has Been Solved!

^Yep! We already host one endgame tablebase for regular chess, why not Watkins' proof for anti?

Furthermore people should be allowed to compare their 1.e3 games to the proof and check for cheating. Cheating should automatically be checked for antichess Top 10 players with account ages of less than 3 days. Some people cheat to troll Lichess. We can use this method to get rid of that. The labelling of cheaters in this case should be swift to prevent people from getting lols from temporarily becoming "the best antichess player" even if it is only for 10 minutes.

From now on antichess here should be based on an honor code, namely nobody should cheat. From the current atmosphere of the community which is much better than that one year ago I believe this is feasible. Everybody can read Watkins' proof and win every single anti game as white. There is nothing great about it.

Oh and we should watch out for new top players who abort games as black.
Hmm, yeah, interesting. Maybe. But isn't cheating in antichess similar to cheating in orthodox chess? What's the difference if the comp plays perfectly or near perfectly?
So just a clarification. I knew that antichess was weakly solved
Now its completely solved? For example: White always wins with perfect play? (or black, I am a bit patzer in antichess)
MorningCoffee

well, only 1 opening has been fully solved - e3

standardchess-wise, you could compare it by saying that just e4 has been solved as a win for white
So after 1.e3 white always wins right? That reminds me, I used to play connect-4 and this game has been solved from 1988 but still haven't met anyone who can play perfect (although I do know some who are close to perfect)
Things like that are supposed to be published in a peer-review journals. And only after a review it's possible to say that it is actually solved.
MorningCoffee

yes if machine plays e3, then it should always win, if it plays other openings, since they arent all solved, it could lose to a strong player, but why would it play anything but e3 as white? :D

however you make a good point about humans not being able to play perfectly i too believe this, i dont know how complicated connect 4 is compared to antichess, but imagine the complexity and vastness of antichess, its impossible for a human to remember all variations
in connect-4 you always have at most 6 moves so yeah... antichess must be on an entirely different level of complexity
e3 always wins for White, right.

@nikolajtesla Dr. Watkins is going to publish his findings in a peer-reviewed journal quite soon.

Yes, @MorningCoffee . In fact, strong human antichess players play so far from perfectly that it's...pitiable :P.

@Dragon-Lord I have to ask you: why do you not play 1. e3 as White? Why not just play that, see where you went wrong after your games, and keep on doing that till you play near-perfect antichess?
Good question Fischy :) I started ot playing a6, h6 as most rookies do in fear of major blunders. I then took a liking to g4, and there i started improving, so much so that i created some of my own unique forced lines, not long after that i discovered the power of Nh3, in antichess terms, i feel in love with it lol the reason is simple, its quite rich with traps and forced lines and i know them all, so when im playing fast games, its so much easier and more rewarding to play this trapful opening that many didnt even know about, until its recent rise in popularity.

I taught nh3 to my students and slowly but surely it has become the third most preferred opening after e3 and g3.

of course ive also manged to combine nh3 with other openings and created what i call hybrid styles, some of which has been adapted by others players i,e aleksey gurus g3 b3 nh3

ive also created hybrid styles out of e3 + nh3, e3+ b3, e3 + b3 + nh3 etc...

so in a way, i already do use e3, just in a mixed style :)

As for raw e3 , i decided that i wont study it until ive reached 3k rating in the other openings :)) crazy hard ? perhaps but none the less it gives me something to work towards, and im in no rush to improve continuously in this beautiful game :)

once i reach my goal, i will devote my focus entirely on e3, and the study of watkins lines.
