6 hour ban

I don't understand the rules for the ban. If I play under "Create a Game" I can select from players that meet my criteria. If i tire of waiting and click on the fast pairing option my criteria apparently don't apply and I must play who ever pops up, This is silly. I try to keep track of the jerks who should have resigned hopeless games with a lot of time remaining but kept me staring at a screen for no good reason until their time ran out. I also see no reason to play people either 150 points above or below me as I usually learn nothing from these. So your policy is play who ever clicks on you or be banned. Ridiculous! I'll take the ban and play as anonymous for six hours and then pick my opponents all over again.

If you click on a quick pair, you're saying you want a quick pair. So if that's not what you want.... don't do that. If you have specific players that you don't want to be paired with, block them.

I have a lot of respect for the regular players on this site and was reluctant to reply and possibly seem critical of rtijlo above. Today's experience however, demonstrates my issue very clearly. After creating a game of 5+0 blitz, I have spent the last 6 or 7 minutes watching a parade of 3+0, 5+3, 6+0, 2+2, 5+5, 1/2+4 and 6+0 again players on the lobby page. Apparently my 5+0 Create a Game has little effect. So my choices are to start a small window game of Solitaire and wait for someone matching my preference to show up or go to the quick pair where I can't abort games with the same kind of non-matching players who passed through my filter. If I abort them in the quick pair I get banned. Maybe the problem is to make the Create a Game filter work better and only allow the matching players. The main screen shows 21,00+ players and over 6,000 games in progress as I type this. Surely there are many 5+0 blitz candidates out there. I just want to play a few of them.

Maybe all these 5+0 blitz candidates have blocked you, because earlier you didn't start a game against them? :X)

You can also use the fast pairing option and the fast pairing Player pool with "Create a game" and then using a "Rating range".
But you have to use a time control thats fits to the "Quick pairing" time controls like 3+0, 5+0, 5+3 or 10+0.

All I ever want to play is 5+0. Mt Create a Game filter is set that way but I always get various other times in both the Lobby screen and the the fast match window. In addition, the rating range also seems to be useless as i regularly get both very low players (including a big group of players with ? after their score) and players ranked over 100 points higher than me. What am i doing wrong?
