My greatest game ever.

What's so bad about g4 when white was still winning? It gets the attacking going as seen in the game, and if the only way to prove that it is a blunder is via sacrificing a piece without concrete counterplay then what's so bad about it? The game just continues STILL in White's favor. Instead of criticizing a single move that doesn't really change the tide, I would instead give props as the op played much better than his level! Plus it's a really satisfying attack as I like to go ham om my opponent's kingside too :D
I agree with both of you. G4 was not the best move in the position according to Stockfish, and lost +3 of white's advantage. However, @chessmathnerd played the following position after g4 very well which means that although g4 was not the best move, it was still an ok move that resulted in a position that chessmathnerd could play well.
also i just saw that mrpushwood's suggested move 23.bxf6 results in a draw by perpetual check: qg3,qxh3,qg3 etc.
Hello Scotsman,
i think g4 is a good move to play. White is really fast with his attack. To grab more space on the kingside with tempo Looks like a good idea. We are humans and should play like humans. Even the best of us fails to play perfect chess. Magnus is not our hero because he don't make errors. He mangages to live with his errors and limitations quite good, better than any other human beiing around.

I suspect in this particular position there is a way to gain matrial soon. Maybe f5 wins the Bishop, on the fly i don't see a good answer for black. But in general g4 is a pretty good idea.

@CalbernandHowbe , yeah thats why I didn't play it in the game. I considered the best move, Rd6, but I decided against it because I was behind on time and didn't want to make it complicated when I was still winning.
